This policy explains how Samlock Constructions Pty Ltd collects, uses, holds and discloses personal information through the Samlock Group website and in connection with enquiries and projects.

Samlock Constructions Pty Ltd operates this website and the Samlock Group divisions presented on it, including Samlock Sheds, Samlock Carports, Samlock Patios and Samlock Pools. In this policy, “Samlock”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Samlock Constructions Pty Ltd.

We are committed to handling personal information responsibly and, where applicable, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:

  • your name, telephone number, email address and postcode;
  • your project address and information about the property, site, access and services;
  • the service you require, project description, preferred timing and selections;
  • photos, plans, specifications, engineering information and other documents you provide;
  • communications with you by telephone, email, SMS or through our website;
  • quotation, contract, invoice, payment and project-administration records; and
  • technical information such as browser, device, referral and website-usage data where analytics, cookies or similar technologies are enabled.

Please do not give us sensitive information unless it is reasonably necessary for us to assist you.

3. How we collect information

We generally collect information directly from you when you submit the Samlock Website Enquiry form, contact us, request a quotation, provide project material, enter into an agreement or otherwise deal with us.

We may also receive information from an authorised representative, referral source, supplier, contractor, consultant, certifier or other person involved in your enquiry or project. Our enquiry form is provided using HighLevel/LeadConnector and information submitted through it is processed through that service.

4. Why we use your information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to and assess an enquiry;
  • contact you by telephone, email or SMS about the enquiry you submitted;
  • prepare estimates, quotations, designs, scopes, contracts and project records;
  • coordinate site reviews, engineering, certification, approvals, manufacture, delivery, installation and handover;
  • administer accounts, payments, warranties, complaints and customer service;
  • operate, secure, improve and measure our website, systems and services;
  • meet legal, regulatory, insurance and record-keeping requirements; and
  • send marketing that we reasonably believe may interest you, where permitted by law.

5. Who we may disclose information to

Where reasonably necessary for an enquiry, quotation, project or our operations, we may disclose relevant information to:

  • employees, authorised representatives and professional advisers;
  • installers, contractors, suppliers, manufacturers and delivery providers;
  • engineers, certifiers, surveyors, designers, authorities and approval providers;
  • insurers, accountants, lawyers, finance or payment providers;
  • technology and cloud service providers, including website hosting, HighLevel/LeadConnector, Buildxact and other systems used for customer, quotation or project administration; and
  • regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other persons where required or authorised by law.

We do not sell personal information.

6. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website and embedded services may use cookies or similar technologies required for functionality, security, performance and measurement. Where enabled, analytics or advertising services may collect technical and usage information. These services may include tools supplied by Google or Meta.

You can limit cookies using your browser settings, although some website features may not work as intended. We review the tracking technologies used on the site and will update this policy when our practices materially change.

7. Overseas and cloud processing

Some technology, cloud, communications or supplier services may store or process information outside Australia. The countries involved can change according to a provider’s infrastructure and subcontractors. We retain information for as long as reasonably required for the purposes described in this policy, our contractual and warranty obligations, dispute management and applicable legal, insurance and record-keeping requirements. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it where lawful and practicable.

You may ask to access personal information we hold about you or request a correction. We may need to verify your identity. In some circumstances the law permits us to refuse access, and if that occurs we will explain the reason where required.

10. Marketing choices

You may ask us not to send direct marketing at any time by using an unsubscribe option provided in the communication or contacting us. We will action valid opt-out requests within a reasonable period. Service and project communications are not marketing and may continue where necessary.
